cONCLUSION

According to the research data, most people know about endangered animals but not very much. If they know, it is usually from YouTube or TV, and only temporarily.

People showed less interest in endangered species than I expected. In my case, I’ve loved animals since I was young and watched a lot of National Geographic and animal documentaries, so I’ve been exposed to a lot of related content. However, most people only know very basic information. Especially in South Korea, although there is some education on endangered species, in Singapore, this doesn’t seem to be the case. Looking at the responses, it’s clear that the level of interest and understanding is lower compared to Korea.

So, the answer to my problem statement is: How interested are people in Endangered animals? “They know, but not much knows about them.”

Reflection

I thought it might have been better to interview a more diverse group of people at the time. This is because when I asked two people, both of them responded with "I don't really know." If I had asked individuals who were more knowledgeable about endangered species, I could have received more detailed and high-quality answers regarding efforts to prevent the extinction of these animals and other related topics.

However, through this project, I learned how much people are interested in endangered species, and it gave me a valuable opportunity to think more about how my FYP (Final Year Project) can better capture people's attention and effectively provide them with information. It was a great chance to reflect on how to engage others and raise awareness in a meaningful way.
